The ACI Carolinas Chapter proudly presents our educational seminar to explore what you “must know” about concrete.  Attendees will gain insight into building constructability, concrete construction productivity, mass concrete practices, corrosion and concrete, maintaining and extending the service life of concrete, and QA/QC in innovation materials and testing.  Additionally, you’ll learn about what the ACI Carolinas Chapter offers to the industry and how the evolving program known as ACI PRO helps with construction productivity.

The Chapter has assembled speakers from the 2026-2027 ACI President, Wayne Brothers, Kiewit Corporation, SKA Consulting Engineers, and Knight’s Companies that are instrumental in the development and design of concrete’s insight and impact of its use. This seminar will benefit Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Material Suppliers, Testing Laboratories and others in the Concrete Industry.

The ACI Field Grade 1 Review Course, offered in partnership by ACI and CRMCA, provides participants with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to properly test freshly mixed concrete. This comprehensive program blends classroom review with practical field exercises, ensuring technicians gain a solid understanding of concrete materials, testing procedures, and quality control practices aligned with industry standards.

This course is ideal for individuals working in—or preparing to enter—concrete testing, quality control, construction, or materials inspection roles. It is especially beneficial for technicians with at least two months of field experience who want to strengthen their technical abilities and earn an industry-recognized ACI certification.

ACI is pleased to host its ACI Concrete Convention in person in Atlanta, GA, on October 11 – 14, 2026. The convention will have a robust schedule that includes traditional in-person activities. Select programming will also be available on-demand to attendees who choose to participate remotely. All committee meetings and all social events will be limited to in-person attendees.
